Shenandoah Resident Is New Montgomery County Pachyderm Club President

Shenandoah resident Chris West has been elected President of the Montgomery County Pachyderm Club (MCPC). The announcement was made by outgoing president Larry Britt on December 8 at the club’s annual Christmas party in Shenandoah. The meeting featured comedian Chad Prather, former gubernatorial candidate who currently hosts the The Chad Prather Show podcast.

MCPC members include several state and local officials, some of whom are newly elected. The club is part of both a state and national Pachyderm organization which provides practical means for broad citizen participation in politics, as well as other educational and development objectives. The group recently hosted Representative Dan Crenshaw and shared some of their concerns with him.

“We live in a conservative area, but we need to be aware of and discuss concerning political trends that could change this very special part of Texas and our nation,” West said. He has been a member for two of the club’s four-year history and previously served as vice president. He also attends a local Pachyderm Club in Idaho with his parents.

MCPC meets on the fourth Thursday each month at Spring Creek BBQ in Shenandoah. For more information, visit The Montgomery County Pachyderm Club website at MCPachyderm.org.
