Recent Car Burglaries in 3 Residential Neighborhoods

Shenandoah police reported that a burglar rummaged through approximately seven or eight unlocked vehicles parked in Malaga, Lily and Tuscany neighborhoods last weekend. The incidents happened at night and three people reported stolen items including sunglasses, charging cords and a purse with a credit card.

The suspect, a white male, climbed over the gates in Malaga and Lily and left on foot. Police are working to identify him.

Lt. Joel Gordon said that leaving a car unlocked to prevent someone from causing damage by breaking into it is one approach, but “if you leave things in your car you should lock it.”

Anyone with information should call the Shenandoah police at 281-367-8952.
