Newly installed cameras in Shenandoah’s council chambers now provide much sharper video footage of council meetings. The benefits of this new equipment are clearer views of council and staff members as well as the ability to see the face of a speaker at the podium (as opposed to their back). Recordings with these cameras began October 12, 2022.
City Administrator Kathie Reyer said the cameras have been well received and that IT Manager, Chris Grizzaffi spearheaded the effort which began about two years ago. The 2022-23 budget approved by council last August includes an entry for a second camera at a cost of $2600.
