Burglars Break in Home Near City Swimming Pool, Steal Valuables

Yesterday afternoon, burglars climbed a fence bordering the city pool parking lot and forcibly entered a home through a locked window. They stole several valuable items between noon and 12:30 pm.

According to Shenandoah Lieutenant Joel Gordon, burglary of a habitation (including apartments and attached garages) was an at all time high in 2011, when 26 cases were reported. However, since 2012, the numbers dropped into single digits, with anywhere from one to seven per year.

Area residents are urged to be on the lookout for suspicious activity. Shenandoah Police have released the suspects’ photos (below) on the department’s Facebook page and anyone with information about this crime should contact Shenandoah Police at 281-367-8952. Updated information will be provided when available.
