If you and your friends and family are in search of something fun and adventurous to do in your spare time, geocaching might be what you’re looking for. Geocaching is like a scavenger hunt, but instead there is only one item that you need to find, a box. These boxes can hold small novelty items, notepads or sometimes stamps, and are hidden almost everywhere you go.

To play, first download the free app Geocaching on your phone, which will show you where the nearest box is and how far away it is from you. Remember the boxes are hidden, so after following the instructions you must search until you find the one you’re looking for. When you finally find it you take out the notepad and write your name on it, or maybe draw something, or if there are stamps in the box you can just stamp the paper.

Overall, geocaching is fun, exciting, and adventurous. It is a great way to have fun with your friends and family.

There are over 5000 geocached “treasures” in the Woodlands area, several of which are in Shenandoah city limits.
